Amazing. Our first new content in god knows when, and people complain it's a day late.
Can't wait till tomorrow.

Easy quest usually means worthless reward...just saying. If, big if, there is an end drop and it winds up going for 5k because of a dummied quest chain prepare for epic QQ and lots of "that's it?!?". I think we can agree that filtering out people who can't use an insanely broken bar correctly isn't necessarily a bad thing reward wise.

It's not even late! Regina specifically said that they wouldn't be daily. I was very surprised to see one yesterday.

Even if they suck. You can buy an essence (it's like 4k? pretty cheap) they can do the quest flawlessly.

While you have the denotation down pat, I think you're missing the connotation of what was told to us. The fact that A-net went out of their way to tell us that these quests wouldn't be out every day implies that there will be day-long gaps in the quests. Note how they told us to only check back every so often?
Also, I'm guessing that since these quests are meant to span the course of the event that they wouldn't space them so as to leave a bunch of free days at the end.

You think?
I don't think it's a joke tho, i don't think all the people who do UWSC thinks is a joke, it's the same as raptor farming, a normal farm, just more profitable than others.
Actually, FoW is more profitable than UW (Or at least in my experience).
Also, there WOULD be more people in the start, probably newbies failing at trying it, unless they make the hardest dungeon-type a carebear land for newbies, and a few who success, later there will be made new builds for farming it.
So yeah, they would basically paralyze the whole UW community for what, 4 months?, then they're back again.

You're right, and in my opinion they shouldn't have let cons of any type work in there but it is what it is. I didn't bother to test but I bet +hp/+e stuff will not since it looks fixed so maybe this was an oversight. I also don't think someone is going to spend 4k a pop to run every single one of their alts if they are just horrendously bad...stranger things have happened though.

The main event (Thorn comes to town) happens on Halloween I think? I don't think they'd keep pumping out quests every other day till nov 2nd.

Yep. I'm expecting the 3rd quest tomorrow, and the final quest on Halloween when the Mad King comes. I reckon they'll do something similar if they have new quests for Wintersday.

It's a joke because the only reason anyone would go down there is to earn easy e-gold, well almost. It's not even a challenge anymore, it used to be hard enter UW you know.
It wasnt made for farming. People used to go there because it was the toughest challenge in the game.
With major changes alot of people who hasnt been there for a long time might come back to do the new stuff. I would.

I'd love to see a completely redone UW, but I wonder if we are not setting ourselves up for disappointment.
They have very few people working on GW1, I just don't see them making huge changes at this point.
I suspect what will actually happen is that in the last quest we will fight and defeat Dhuum but he will have influenced the UW. Either some of his critters will escape into the UW, something with touch or PBAoE that goes through SF, or else something like this: the moment you talk to a reaper you will be under the influence of "the song of Dhuum" - your shadow arts attribute is lowered by 4.
I would not expect anything amazing - sigh.

I never said it had to be "easy". I would just like something a little more straight froward rather than running around the entire UW. There are some pretty intense missions in the game that do not last very long. After 4 campaigns I am kind of sick of the Fed EX type quests. I do enjoy enjoy the events though and I was disappointed for no quest today. Oh well back to TOT Bag farming.

Yupp. They might open the doors to the Hall of Judgment and add a new permanent quest that involves it if we're really lucky.
Some old reskinned enemies of Dhuum who's released through this quest chain running around owning perma sins is more likely like you said.

major changes? you mean:
*removed every consumable from the game except ID kits and salvage kits
*removed every pve skill except signet of capture
*the pve-pvp skill split mechanic is now removed and skills in pve are balanced to pvp
?
the only thing guild wars pve needs.

Codex Arena wasn't a major update? That was a huge coding issue to create.

Uh, no, we're using it as an argument against all those who are b****ing that we're not getting it every day "like ANet said they would", and those who think that the only reason the third quest got put off was because "n00bs can't finish it in time".
They're filling 7 days with 4 quests, and they probably want the last quest to go live the second to last day. It makes sense for them to space the quests out a bit; at the very least, there's nothing contradictory here, which is what a lot of people seem to think. Use the time, go do CB or farm or just hang out in town and wait for tomorrow. Speaking as someone who really doesn't have huge chunks of time all this week, I'm glad they spaced it out a bit, so I get a chance to play CB in addition to do these quests.

This is about as far from a FedEx quest as you can get. About the only thing it has in common is you go to various places....please, describe a quest (other than the ubiquitous defend-this-location quest) that doesn't involve you moving to various points.

My point exactly - even when you max speed run it with consumables in 13 minutes, the rewards aren't as good as you'd get doing a standard event farm...

|
Uh, in just less than 3 hours over the past week, I've farmed 2 ToT stacks. During that same 3 hours of farming, I also got 60 unid golds and ~75K worth of vendor trash/salvage/ink/scrolls/tomes/inscs/mods/etc.
For 50 ToT bags, this second quest would STILL not be worth farming, PERIOD. This would be 150 ToTs/21 tonics per hour, assuming 20 minute run speed - you can do way better than this simply solo event farming. Not only that, but it's NOT REPEATABLE, so you can only do it on chars that have reached the appropriate outpost...
FWIW: If you have a box using old technology (sub 2GHz proc, sub 1GB RAM, sub GeForce 6), you're just not going to have the power to make it without significant lag/rubberbanding. My old box is a P4 3GHz GF4Ti 512MB, and I would fear having to play with the 5-10FPS in places, and general lag issues...
